Chef Biography
Marcus Wesch was born and raised in Germany where his family owned a hotel and restaurant. Following schooling, and upon graduating from culinary school, he began his apprenticeship, first in Germany and then to Bermuda in 1987, where he worked his way up the kitchen ladder for the Princess Hotels.
After eight years, in 1995, he moved over to the Stonington Beach Resort (now called the Coco Beach Hotel) as sous chef, where he became a Certified Hospitality Educator and Kuchenmeister (“Cake Master”). In 1997, he was promoted to executive chef, and in 1999 the Great Chefs television crew showed up to tape him for their Great Chefs of the World television series for the Discovery Channel.
Shortly thereafter, Chef Wesch returned to Germany to run the family hotel and restaurant, the Hotel Seehof, on Lake Constance, where he remains today in 2016.
